About the Owners

Love, hospitality & family.

Owners Sandy and Marshall bring decades of hospitality, farming, and small-business experience to Lake Elsie Wedding Barn. They've worn many hats, from running a greenhouse for 14 years to owning the Hankinson Inn for 25 years, and now Lady on the Lake B&B for 16 years. Since 2015, Sandy has led the wedding venue with hands-on care, supported by a dedicated staff who share her commitment to exceptional service.

When they're not busy caring for the wedding venue, Sandy and Marshall love gardening, boating on Lake Elsie, and cooking. Sandy has a cookbook collection of more than 150 and enjoys trying new recipes to share with friends and family. They also treasure time with their three children and love welcoming couples to their lakefront home.

“We see the world through the relationships we build right here with our guests.” That spirit is why we bring our preferred vendors together, so you can build those relationships too.
